Stunning Split Screen Kaleideoscopic Time Lapse of Non-Touristy New York City

Vimeo user Brian Jackson recently uploaded a fantastically different New York City time lapse video.

Time lapse videos like these are a rarity. The vast majority of New York City time lapse videos show densely populated tourist destinations such as Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, etc... This video is a completely and refreshingly different kind of time lapse. First, it is shot in split screen, with the second screen displaying a mirrored image of the first, or a complementary yet different subject matter, even drastically contrasting shots.

Second, I can't even identify half of the locations filmed here, a pleasant surprise for somebody who scours the internet daily seeking out great New York City content to share. There are intersections, building interiors, wide angle skylines of ordinary buildings, and many more shots of the New York City locals see.

The video features remixes of a few Radiohead songs.
