The New York City Department of Sanitation has issues a "Snow Alert" asking all City employees to make preparations for a possible snow storm.

Calling a “Snow Alert” allows DSNY to begin to prepare for a possible response by loading salt spreaders, attaching plows (if necessary), preparing tire chains and notifying other city agencies and supplementary personnel as needed.

Yews it is going to be cold tonight, and it will probably have freezing rain, but don't get your hopes up for any snow.
