See Waze's Hypnotic Visualization of New York City Traffic Patterns

Though it may not seem like it, New York City still has a ton of daily drivers roaming the streets. Many of those drivers use the Waze App to help them navigate the city the fastest way possible using real-time information. Waze aggregates this information from other sources such as Google and Yahoo, but also collects anonymous data from each of it's users to create a virtual traffic map of the City.

For this video, Waxe created a map of the data for each minute of a day, then create a time-lapse using the data to help you visualize traffic patterns throughout the City. The result is a pulsing hypnotic flurry of bright colors combined with the perfect score.
