Remember That Time When Mayor Bill de Blasio Killed the Groundhog on Groundhog Day?

One year ago today, on Groundhog Day 2014, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio dropped the groundhog, perhaps sparking last years horrible, horrendously long winter. The fall gave Chuck the Groundhog severe internal injuries and he died a few days following the incident, prompting political opponents to call foul and ask for the Mayor's resignation. In this year's Staten Island Groundhog Day event, the Mayor wisely kept his hands away from the hog.
