Put a Japanese Twist on the Classic Omelette at East Village's Hi-Collar

Hi-Collar, a name that alludes to Japan's flirtation with the Western world, is a Japanese coffee house and cocktail bar. Drinks aren't the only things they serve as you'll see in this INSIDER video depicting Hi-Collar's omurice. The restaurant's Western-influence is apparent as the dish, a popular children's meal in Japan, consists of an omelette topped with fresh rice and ketchup.

The egg is delicious; it's got a beautifully soft and fluffy consistency to it and it's just the perfect top layer for the bed of rice that it goes on.
