Profiles:NYC, a Daily Web Series of Short Profiles About Average New Yorkers

Profiles:NYC is a new project from New York based actor and podcaster Austin Mitchell that features a 1-minute long audio snapshot of a random New Yorker every day. Think of it as Humans of New York for your ears.

Composed into video with a photograph from collaborator Johnny Cirillo, the addictive series lets you step into the life of somebody else in the City for just a moment, seeing New York City through their eyes and experiences.

Hopefully this might alter our perspective about the people who surround us every day, people we don’t know, people we tend to brush past. It’s easy, especially in New York, to isolate ourselves entirely in our own worlds, but maybe we’d all feel a little more empathy if we took just a minute to listen to those around us. Also, it’s fun.
