Millennials of New York Episode 7: Proud Brooklynite is a Victim of Gentrification

Started by millennial-targeted Elite Daily last year, the popular Millennials of New York parody of Humans of New York is pure comedic gold, funny because we all know somebody who fits one of these to a T.

In the most recent episode of the series we meet a man who explains what it's like to be the victim of gentrification in Williamsburg.

The word "Williamsburg" has been synonymous with bike riding, mustache-sporting, flannel-wearing hipsters since the mid-2000s, but in the past few years, the neighborhood has lost a fair amount of the character (and characters) that helped transform it into the cliché it's become. Check out this one Millennial’s story of how he’s trying to get Brooklyn back to the way it’s suppose to be: full of playwrights, sculptors, and glassblowers.
