[PHOTOS] A Closer Look at 35XV, a Beautiful New Mixed-Use Skyscraper in Chelsea

35XV is a newly completed mixed-use tower from architects FXFOWLE located at 35 W. 15th St (XV...15.. get it?) that is a beautiful new addition to the New York City skyline.

The design artfully resolves the project’s principal requirements: providing needed expansion space for Xavier; creating highly crafted residential units that take advantage of their elevated location; conforming to highly restrictive municipal bulk controls, including sloped sky exposure planes; and being a “good neighbor”, relating to the both the Xavier Campus and to the neighboring streetscape, despite the project’s overall size.

Check out the accompanying article to learn more about how the buildings was designed with the neighborhood in mind.
