The Morbid Anatomy Museum's new exhibit Opus Hypnagogia: Sacred Spaces of the Visionary and Vernacular features uncanny works of art that were conceived while their creators were in the state of hypnagogia.
The exhibit is curated by Stephen Romano and features historical, “Outsider", and Visionary art, as well as various forms of photography and vintage books.
Opus Hypnagogia does what Morbid Anatomy Museum does best: For the literal-minded, pragmatic visitor, the images pose a challenge, serving as a reminder that the world is weirder and more mysterious than it might seem on a mundane workday.
The exhibit will be on display until October 15, 2015.
