Find Utopia on Staten Island at Snug Harbor's Latest Exhibit

In Snug Harbor's latest exhibit Eutopia, a group of seven artists from the creative agency Vanderbilt Republic attempt to depict the concept of a utopia.

One of the exhibit's most striking installations is a whimsical, white-lighted glass house, created by Carlton Scott Sturgill. Inside Sturgill's slice of paradise is a bedroom filled with flowers, growing from the mattress, the ground and the walls. Look carefully, and the viewer sees the flowers are made of cloth — Ralph Lauren shirts, upon even closer inspection.

The exhibit will remain in Snug Harbor until September 11th. With all the dystopian current events occurring the pieces help imagine a brighter future.
