New York City Installed 25 Miles of Protected Bike Lanes on City Streets in 2017

Protected bike lanes are one of the best ways to protect bikers from cars in New York City. In this short video from the New York City Department of Transportation, see all the locations across the City that they installed 25 miles of new protected lanes this year.

In 2017, NYC DOT installed 27 projects adding 25 lane miles of protected bicycle lane miles to NYC's bike lane network.
