New York Calling, a Vintage Film Promoting Tourism in New York City Circa 1952

This amazing film is a full color, 22-minute tourist video showing television viewers in the 1950s what they could expect from a visit by train to New York City.

Educational public relations newsreel promoting New York City during the early 1950's. This film shows the major highlights one might have seen on a visit to New York City. Of course, arrival and departure from the Big Apple was by steam and electric trains, several of which are seen in this film.

The 64-year-old film covers many of the same tourist spots people flock to today.
