New York Botanical Garden's Frida Kahlo Exhibit to Feature Artist Jenny Holzer

The New York Botanical Garden is taking their current blockbuster exhibition, Frida Kahlo: Art. Garden, Life, one step further with the work of American conceptual artist Jenny Holzer.

The artist is well-known for combining poetry with modern art in the form of light projections. Her electrifying statements have been seen all over the world including our own Rockefeller Center.

Holzer's projections at the Kahlo exhibition will display poetry including Octavio Paz, Mexico's Nobel Prize Winner and even passages from Kahlo's personal diary.

Ms. Holzer’s inspiration behind the poetic selection comes from the exhibition itself, and Kahlo’s relationship with Mexican culture and the natural world around her...visitors will be able to view Kahlo’s pieces in the Art Gallery and experience the New York version of the Casa Azul after hours.

The projections will be displayed from June 10th - 13th from dusk until 10pm.
