When you think of street art in New York, Staten Island is probably one of the last boroughs that come to mind.

A new website called Staten Island Street Art is seeking to change that by cataloging the oft-forgotten borough's outdoor murals and street art.

Staten Island is not new to graffiti or street art. The forgotten borough has seen its share of paint covered walls and trains over the past 40 years since graffiti has flourished around the globe. This site was built to showcase some of the rapidly increasing efforts of artists on Staten Island.

So far they have only created a map of the North Shore from Snug Harbor Cultural Center to Fort Wadsworth, but there will be more maps coming soon.
