Morgan O'Kane - the Williamsburg Subway Banjo Player

If you ride along the L regularly, you most likely have heard some uptempo banjo music emanating from the stations at
one point or another. Often it is accompanied by a solo drum, violinist, or some other performer, but the gritty, Southern
banjo always shines through. The man behind the banjo is Morgan O'Kane and his
distinctive playing style, husky voice and powerful foot stomp is instantly recognizable by thousands of Straphangers.

Morgan has 3 albums of original music, and is available for purchase on his site or on
iTunes. Of course, you could always see Morgan
for free at his frequently visited Bedford or Union Square stops.
