Jacob Lawrence Exhibit at the MOMA Embodies Modern Art and The Great Migration

With the summer series soon coming to an end at the Museum of Modern Art, be sure to experience One Way Ticket: Jacob Lawrence Exhibit before it's gone.

Displayed on the third floor gallery, Lawrence’s exhibit showcases a series of tempera paintings which embody the mass migration of Blacks to the North in the early 20th century.

The range of works in the exhibition sheds light on the ways in which Lawrence drew upon and transformed contemporary models for representing black experience in America.

The exhibitions runs until September 7th, 2015.
