As the Pride March and parade gets closer to kick-off at Noon today, the NYPD has been closing off streets along 5th Avenue and preparing for the day's festivities.
I was out for a morning run early this morning, headed through the intersection of 14th Street and 5th Avenue, when I saw this sea of a blue, NYPD's finest, all gathered together for a pre-parade roundup and preparation meeting. Hopefully all of these amazing officers will keep the peace and ensure the day goes as smoothly as planned!
