Last year, New York State implemented a new law that says all dogs, not just service dogs, are allowed to legally join their owners at any restaurant that has an outdoor space such as a patio or terrace. As such, great moments like this "human-doggy date" on the patio of East Village's Mimi Cheng's Dumplings seen in this photo from reddit uploader GallowBamboozle are increasingly common.
