Here's What Went Down at the 2016 NYC Half Marathon Through Midtown and Lower Manhattan

This past Sunday, many of us who weren't eating macaronuts were out running in the 2016 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, one of the toughest races to get into in the City.

The course started with a loop around Central Park, then a trip down 7th Ave through a closed off Times Square, a jaunt over to the West Side Highway, then a few miles down along the Hudson River, through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, and finished up on Wall Street for 13.1 miles in total.

In this highlight video from the race organizers New York Road Runners, watch as over 20,000 runners — including yours truly — make their way through Manhattan in this epic NYC race.

Relive the best moments of the 2016 United Airlines NYC Half, as 20,000 runners stopped traffic in Times Square and flew through the streets of Manhattan!
