Hell Gate Bridge is one of the lesser-known bridges in New York, unless you are from Astoria. It's a privately owned and operated bridge between Astoria and Randall's Island, serving as an artery for Amtrak's Northern-bound trains. This means there is no automotive or foot traffic on the bridge, and that any urban exploration of it is much harder because it is isolated and private property.
Luckily for us, urban explorer @hakimms decided to climb the bridge recently and share some of his photos. The Instagram account claims "this is just the beginning" and there are already a few of other spots in the feed, so keep an eye on the it for future explorations.
