Empire State Building and The Grateful Dead's Coordinated Light Show on July 4th

On July 4th, Deadheads throughout the City could vicariously enjoy a live performance from the Grateful Dead at Soldier Field in Chicago this past weekend by watching the amazing Empire State Building light show, synchronized to the band's rendition of U.S. Blues in celebration of their three-day Fare Thee Well show.

The vision and technical design was created by ESB lighting designer Marc Brickman.

The Grateful Dead were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Palo Alto, California. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide.
