Colorizing black and white photographs is a complicated process of image analysis, grading and guesswork in order to add period specific and authentic looking, natural color into a vintage photograph. Reddit contributor bwborder recently spent some time on this fantastic colorization of a 1943 Harlem woman and her dog, looking out of their apartment window.
