Check Out the 2016 Freestyle Frisbee World Championships in Brooklyn's McLaughlin Park This Week

The 2016 Freestyle Frisbee World Championships are returning to its home on August 3rd - 6th. Freestyle Frisbee is a niche gymnastics-like sport invented in New York City during the 1970s.

Freestyle Frisbee starts as a game of catch between two or more, though "freestylers" less resemble college kids in sunglasses playing their way through a hangover. More often they look like whirling dervishes centering their dance on a spinning disc.

The World Championships will take place in Brooklyn's Mclaughlin Park with the finals occurring on Saturday August 6th.
