California artist Gideon Cohn is in the City this August with a solo exhibition at the Dacia Gallery in the Lower East Side. Cohn's paintings are filled with color, soft geometry and the female form.
The figure has always been a source of inspiration for me. Its ever changing shapes, colors and lines have been a stimulus in my exploration process for 35 years. Figurative drawing and painting became my conduit to the beauty of sensuality, flow of spirit and the ties to earth.
Check out the exhibition from August 1st through August 27th with a meet-and-greet opening reception with the artist on August 6th, 6-9pm.
