Blooms are busting out all over in @nancy_blum‘s “Roaming Underfoot” (2019) at the newly re-opened historic 28th Street (6) station. The seven flowering plants depicted in the glass mosaic artwork (fabricated by #MiottoMosaics) are from nearby @madsqparknyc Conservancy’s perennial collection, including Red Buds, Magnolias, Hellebores, Witch Hazel, Daffodils, Hydrangea and Camellia. Each are suited to the changing climate conditions of the city.
