Bryant Park Fountain Freezes Over—It's Officially SUPER COLD in New York City

As it runs 365 days year round, Bryant Park's beautiful Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain freezes over every year during the coldest days of winter. It's one of the ways we New Yorkers know it's seriously cold outside. During this week's arctic chill, the fountain finally froze over and now has beautiful ice sculptures raining down the sides.
