The Caputo Cup is a famous Pizza competition based out of Naples, and they recently held a USA event here in the City where stateside pizza makers competed head-to-head for a panel of expert culinary judges.

Naples' largest pizza competition is coming to NYC next week, along with a Global Pizza Summit filled with two days of delicious demonstrations and pizza-centric programming. Pizza-makers from across the US and abroad will have the opportunity to present their crafty creations and compete for the esteemed champion title and prizes.

This year, the top spot for Neapolitan Style was won by Brooklyn's Jesus Solis, master pizza maker from Forcella in Williamsburg. Ironically, the winner of the "NY Style" pizza was not from NYC, rather Pennsylvania. Congrats to the winners!
