Bivouac NY is a unique organization which organizes completely free camping experiences on different New York City rooftops each event. Started by Brooklyn-based artist Thomas Stevenson back in 2011, Bivouac NY has hosted hundreds of rooftop camping evenings over the years. Bivouac provides an open-sided sleeping tent, a canteen with a kitchen area, table, library and morning coffee, and a real toilet located somewhere in the building itself. Check out the Bivouac NY website to learn more about what's involved and join in on the fun.
