Art Start's #SeeMeBecause Campaign Seeks to Reshape the Way We See Homeless Youth

Art Start is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in New York City that offers creative workshops to kids that are in city shelters, on the streets, are involved in court cases, or surviving with parents in crisis.

The organization's #SeeMeBecause campaign is seeking to reshape the way we as a society view homeless families, as well as how they view themselves, in order to help look past their immediate circumstance to a brighter future.

#SeeMeBecause is Art Start's campaign to start a dialogue about what it means to be seen. We're encouraging you to take a "selfie" that doesn't just say, "Look at me," but rather, "See Me," and share it on your social media channels.
