Tekserve, a local technology and service shop, and the Apple store before there were even Apple stores, is closing after almost 30 years in business. As New York City rents continue to skyrocket, more local mom-and-pop businesses continue to be pushed out.

...retail rents are out of sight. We simply can’t find a sustainable retail business model in this environment.

The service center will close at the end of July and the retail store will close on August 15th. See Vanishing New York's full article for more about Tekserve's final days.
