A Short History of the Sunnyside Yards in Queens

When it opened in 1910, Long Island City's Sunnyside Yards was the largest rail yard on Earth at 200 acres. This video is a short history of the role of the Sunnyside Yards, who built them, and why, and how they ended up being the property of Amtrak and the Federal Government.
