The 39th Annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks are hoping for a better show this year after strong winds relocated the barges to the Harbor last year. If the weather cooperates, here's the best spots to see the explosions.

The fireworks may be viewed in Manhattan, Queens & Brooklyn from any area with an unobstructed view of the sky above the East River.

The public viewing sections for Manhattan will be the elevated portions of FDR drive with the following entry points:

From Houston to Midtown:

  • Houston Street - 23rd street - 34th street - 42nd street

From Lower Manhattan:

  • Broad Street ground level - Old Slip upper level - Pearl & Frankfort

Check out the event page for more on times, locations and other info.
