Wednesday, July 19th, 2017, Good Morning!

Municipal Building shining behind City Hall. The City was in desperate need of office space in the late 1880s. The various departments outgrew the small confines of City Hall. There was even talk of tearing down City Hall to erect a modern office building. The proposal was immediately met with enemies, one calling it an "act of vandalism." Preservation won out in the end and City Hall is the oldest active government building in the city, built in 1811.
