The Roosevelt Islander recently published two videos showing a seemingly-lost seaplane taking off from the East River yesterday, accelerating for take off underneath the Queensboro Bridge alongside the island. Apparently it is a rather unusual sight for this part of the river.
A seaplane was spotted this evening taking off on the East River next to Roosevelt Island and the Queensboro Bridge.
