Every New Yorker knows that some of the best, most affordable food in the City comes from street carts. Not the pretzel, hot dog, and nut carts you find in tourist areas, but the corner Halal carts and breakfast carts that are around all transit hubs in the City. It wasn't always like this though, and the Halal Guys had a big part in making NYC street food the way it is today.
