The Bergen Sign Shop is the MTA location that creates the numerous types signs you see all over the subway, bus stops, ferry stops, and other MTA locations. In addition to the standard signs, the shop is also responsible for creating special signs like the 5,000 braille ones used throughout the system. Check it out in this video from MTAinfo.
MTA New York City Transit's Bergen Street Sign Shop creates 99,000 signs for the subway system every year.
