Watch Mayor de Blasio Sign Executive Order to Adopt Goals of Paris Climate Accord for NYC

While Trump gave a big F-U to the environment earlier this week, states and cities around the nation have pledged to continue and adopt the goals set forth internationally by the Paris Climate Accord. Mayor Bill de Blasio was one of those who pledged to invest in our planet's future, and made it official yesterday through the signing of an executive order.

Mayor Bill de Blasio signed an executive order today that promised New York City would commit to the principles enshrined in the Paris Climate Agreement following President Trump’s announcement that he would formally withdraw the nation from the accord.

It's worth noting that the current population of New York City is larger than that of 39 U.S. states, and larger than the bottom 10 combined.
