[WATCH] James and Karla Murray Take You on a Vintage NYC Subway Ride and MTA Tunnel Exploration

Local pro photographers James and Karla Murray have a YouTube series in which they explore neighborhoods and attractions around New York City from their unique perspective. In this recent video from the duo, watch as they take you on a vintage train subway ride and even explore some of the subway tunnels. Check it out!

In our VINTAGE NYC SUBWAY RIDE & MTA TUNNEL EXPLORATION, we take a ride on a vintage New York City "J" Train, R32 subway car during a huge thunderstorm with lightning strikes. The R32 subway car, at over 55 years old, was retired from service by New York City in early 2020 but recently brought back into service by the MTA. In addition to riding from Bushwick, Brooklyn and over the Williamsburg Bridge into Manhattan, we take a side journey showing you our past explorations of the vast underground MTA subway tunnel system in the Lower East Side. We see graffiti art along the active tracks and unused spurs including pieces by the notorious REVS, ESPO, GHOST and REAS. Filmed on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 6:30 PM
