Watch: Improv Everywhere Gives Random New Yorkers a Chance to Deliver an Inspiring College Commencement Speech

The team at Improv Everywhere — the organizers behind the annual No Pants Subway Ride — recently held a mock college graduation ceremony in Bryant Park sans speaker, then gave random New Yorkers the opportunity to deliver an impromptu commencement speech to the students.

For our latest mission, we gave random New Yorkers the opportunity to give an inspiring commencement address. We set up a commencement ceremony in Bryant Park with graduates, faculty, and a lectern. The only thing missing was the speaker. A guy posing as the dean of the school recruited random people with hand-written sign that read, “commencement speaker needed.”
