[WATCH] Hear What Crown Heights Used to Be Like From an 83-Year-Old Brooklyn Native

In a fantastic video from Vimeo uploader Sally Harkin, an 83-year old Brooklyn native named Estella gives a detailed account of what Crown Heights used to be like when she was a child growing up there.

What's changed is that there are huge buildings where there was nothing before. Where I'm living now there was nothing before. They were all parking lots. There were nothing else, there was no supermarkets, no stores at all. We used to have to go to Greenwich village to go shopping.
