This great vintage photograph from 1908 shows the view of the Flatiron Building and Madison Square Park, looking east from the southwest corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue. You can see the edge of the Flatiron Building in the foreground, the numerous 23rd Street trolleys, the second Madison Square Garden in the left distance, and plenty of foot traffic and horse carts dominating the roads.
