Manhattan's Grand Army Plaza, not to be confused with the one in Prospect Heights, is the small plaza on the Southeast corner of Central Park, at 59th Street and 5th Avenue.

The gilded-bronze statue featured in the plaza is the Sherman Monument honoring American Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman, dedicated in 1903.

This vintage photograph looking South from the corner of the park shows the Sherman Monument, Grand Army Plaza, and a peek down 5th Avenue from 59th Street.
