Vintage Movie From 1928 Features a Crazy Driver, Babe Ruth and More

The amazing short movie from 1928 features a crazy taxi cab driver navigating the chaotic streets of Manhattan. He narrowly avoids other automobiles and pedestrians, eventually getting pulled over by a motorcycle cop.

Officer: Say, you crazy nut — where did you learn to drive?

Driver: I didn’t. It’s a gift.

Eventually, the driver even picks up baseball legend Babe Ruth on his way to Yankee Stadium, making him carsick along the way. Later in the movie, the driver also goes crazy fast in a horse carriage and a bus, all for the sake of getting there in a "New York Minute."

The music in the video is the classic San Francisco Starlight Orchestra — "Persian Rug".
