Vintage Film Shows New Yorkers Digging Out From a Massive 1947 Blizzard

Snow Storm Stella could have been a lot worse, like this massive blizzard which hit New York City on December 26th, 1947. According to this vintage newsreel, a record setting 26" inches fell, 30,000 cars were abandoned on the streets, buried for weeks, and over 99 million tons of snow fell in just 16 hours.
