VIDEO: Local Filmmaker Holds a Payphone Funeral in New York City

As you may have realized, New York City payphones are things of the past. They aren’t being used anymore and the city is even getting rid of them. This marks a revolutionary time in history as this piece of genius is being replaced by other mediums. I’m sorry for your loss and I share the same pain. There was no better way to celebrate all the payphone has done for us and to see it off for a final time than to have a payphone funeral. The funeral took place in Manhattan, New York City by the West 4th subway station, where guests came together and listened to a eulogy.
