U.S. Coast Guard Breaks Up the Hudson Ice Over the Worst Winter They've Ever Seen

When not rescuing sinking boats, intercepting drug shipments, or saving lives, the U.S Coast Guard uses it's giant ice-breaking boats to clear channels through the ice in the cold winter months. For the past month or so, the Coast Guard has had to regularly clear channels through the Hudson River in what they are calling the worst ice clumping they have seen to date.
