Touring the Bartow-Pell Mansion, the Jewel of the Northeast Bronx

The Bartow-Pell Mansion in Northeast Bronx is an amazing hidden gem tucked away inside Pelham Bay Park.

Pelham Bay Park is more than three times the size of Central Park and is the City’s largest park. Visitors enjoy Orchard Beach, two golf courses, bridle paths, hiking trails, 13-miles of saltwater shoreline along the Long Island Sound and the historic Bartow-Pell Mansion. This building with Greek Revival interiors dates from 1836 and is an excellent example of country living in 19th-century New York.

The above video is produced by the New York Landmarks Conservancy's Tourist in Your Own Town series that explores some of New York’s best hidden gems as well as some of the classic iconic landmarks.
