This great vintage photograph from 1917 shows Times Square in Midtown, Manhattan, packed with automobiles and pedestrians along Broadway. An 1895 stage multiplex with three theaters, the Olympia theater (pictured here as Loew's) fronted the block between 44th and 45th Streets. The edifice on the extreme left side of the photo is the Hotel Astor, situated between 44th and 45th streets.. Check it out!
