Local web developer Eric Markfield from Unfounded Labs recently created this interesting NYC subway map which changes based on the current state of the lines. Calling it a "realistic subway map, the slightly tweaked MTA map only shows the lines which are listed as in "Good Service", and hides any that are delayed, under construction, have skipped stations, or other problems.

This map shows the currently functioning NYC subway system. Only lines that have Good Service are visible. Hidden lines have Delays, Service Changes, or Planned Work. Good Luck!

Check out realmta.info to play around with the map.
