This Bushwick Artist Makes Silky Smooth Sculpture Furniture out of Cement and Salt

MMATERIAL is a sculpture art furniture studio in Bushwick. Started by artist Fernando Mastrangelo, each piece is a unique blend of polished concrete that incorporates salt, silica, quartz and other natural materials inside.

In this video from our friends at Curbed, hear all about Mastrangelo's process and see how he integrates these raw materials into his work.

Fernando Mastrangelo invited Curbed to his Bushwick studio to show how he crafts his new line of sculpture furniture — titled "MMaterial". In the above video, Mastrangelo demonstrates how he uses salt, cement, and other natural materials to create his unique pieces.
